Debbie Fry’s Wok Fried Veggies

| 1 Packet | Fry’s Vegetarian Beef-Style Strips |
| 2 | Red Peppers |
| 2 | Celery Sticks |
| 2 | Carrots |
| 200 g | Mushrooms, Sliced |
| 2 | Spring Onions |
| 200 g | Fresh Bean Sprouts |
| 1 Piece | Fresh Root Ginger |
| 250 g | Cauliflower, Florets |
| 2 | Garlic cloves, Crushed |
| 2 Tblsp | Sunflower Oil |
| 400 ml | Vegetable Stock |
| 6 Tblsp | Soy Sauce |
| 2 Tblsp | Cornflour |
| 5 ml | Chilli Pepper |
| 2 Tsp | Lemon Juice |

| Method |
1) Wash and prepare peppers, carrots and celery and cut into thin strips.
2) Wash and prepare spring onions and cut into rings.
3) Peel ginger and garlic and chop finely.
4) Fry Strips in oil on high heat for approx 5 min until brown and crispy. Set aside and keep warm.
5) Briefly fry ginger and garlic – do not allow to brown. Add vegetables and mushrooms and saute for approx 6 min, stirring continuously. Vegetables should remain crisp.
6) Stir together stock, soy sauce and cornflour. Pour over vegetables and briefly bring to the boil. Season with chilli pepper, lemon juice and ground pepper.
7) Add Chunky Strips back to wok and serve immediately.
When eating food prepared in a wok, you can eat to your hearts content because the veggies contain no fat and very little oil is used in praparation. Veggies are only cooked for a short period of time, thereby maximising nutritional value of the vegetables as they retain vitamins and minerals.
